Whitland Ladies came up against a much larger side in their first league match, but after playing some excellent rugby both their scrum and lineout working well, and some individual brilliance saw them run in 7 tries and win comfortably 37 – 5.
Tries in the first half came from 2 by scrum half Rosie Hutton, 1 by centre Nia Bishop, all went unconverted. In the 2nd half Whitland ran in 4 tries – 2 by centre Vicky Owens, 1 by centre Nia Bishop, and 1 by scrum half Rosie Hutton which took her total to 3, with outside half Sammy Morgan converting 1.
Waunarlwydd’s only score coming from 2nd row Karen Summons with a touchdown.
